Henny & Hoes, OOOUUU
AND THE HOES WHO STOLE IT.
And Young MA isn’t too happy about it.
Everyone knows that when Brooklyn’s breakout Rap Star, Young MA’s, song “OOOUUU” comes on… the hypest hook line of the party jam is always: “You call her Stephanie, I call her Headphanie!”
Well a little known brand named “Lilac Company” has apparently gotten too hype off of the song lyric themselves and are now being added to the “Culture Vulture” hall of shame.
At their pop-up shop in Florida, last Friday, they debuted their own purple label bottle of Hennessy, with the signature line “Headphanie” as the the brand. Because, of course, everyone wants to drink liquor named after giving fellatio.
Well, Twitter went ENTIRELY OFF, on them. One, because it was just a really bad idea. And two, after discovering that neither Young MA, nor Hennessy, were involved with the branding- no f%cks were given, at all.
TWEET OF THE DAY:
“I can’t believe they tried to gentrify Henny!”
LATEST UPDATE: As of today, it is reported that all bottles have been removed from the liquor store shelves. Both Young MA and Hennessy Cognac, deny giving rights, permission, or having any involvement with this brand or liquor.
The Lilac company has stated that they have tried to reach out to Young MA, but did not receive a response util after the video went viral.
Ummmm… that should have told you something.
